Sharing Through Testimonies

Testimonial- expressive of appreciation; tribute; public profession of religious experience.

Purpose: To give God the glory that He and He alone deserves.

Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength; we will sing and praise your might. The Heavens praise your wonders, your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones. We will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. One generation will commend your works to one another; they will tell of your mighty acts...we are that generation.

As born-again, Spirit-filled Christians; we know that according to the Word of God...that if we delight ourselves in Him...He will give us the desires of our heart. He is faithful to keep His promises.

Let's take time to thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for answered prayers. Let's make His blessings to us known to the world as we give Him all the glory. No thing that we may share is too small. Every word that we speak/write for our Lord's glory is a word against the enemy(Satan). We overcome by the words of our testimony.

I decided to share testimonies that were shared with me. Read, enjoy, and be blessed.

My daughter, Karen Martin-Ogunmusesan wrote this experience, "I was in Walmart shopping one evening; went to the self-check out and forgot to scan over half of the items I had purchased. When I got to the exit door, I had passed through without any beeping sound or alarm going off. But, by the time I almost made it to the outside walk, I remembered that I had not scanned all of the items. I quickly returned inside and spoke to the greeter at the door. The man greeting that night was a face that I would see alot of times when I shop at Walmart. He was so shocked at me returning inside to admit my error. I told him that I was a Christian and that I could not live peacefully with myself knowing that I had walked away without paying for everything. Yes, it was easy to walk away, but I came back and told him what had happened, went back through the line and finished paying for everything. He was so very impressed and asked me where I was from, and that he remember me coming into Walmart alot. Each time I go there now, I see that same employee all the time and he looks at me with alot of respect and admiration. He said that he knows that I am truly a Christian. This may not sound like much of a testimony, but I am grateful to the Lord for keeping my mind and heart in the right place at the right time. You never know who is watching you. The Lord has a way to get our attention through the simplest things that can change the next person's life. The Lord says the He will draw all men unto Him."

I praise the Lord for my daughter and how she obeyed the leading of the Holy Spirit. She may have won a soul. The glory belongs to God.

This is another eye-opener that I received via email:

Rugena writes, " Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston, Texas. Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home town to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back...it would be wrong to keep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter...who would worry about this little amount?' 'Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it...accept it as a gift from God and keep quiet.' When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change.' The driver, with a smile, replied,'Aren't you the new preacher in town?' 'Yes' he replied. 'Well, I have been thinking alot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change...I'll see you at church on Sunday.'

"When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'

I am truly blessed to read that we[born-again, Spirit-filled Christians]are giving God the glory that He and He alone deserves.
